To be honest, this one has proven to be THE BIGGEST challenge, since I made Ritzia [link] which I considered my BIGGEST challenge, until now.

***How I made Horreur***

-Skull helmet: Sculpted with Dry Hard clay, with Mod Podge coated in the weaker areas (to secure them) and a coat of artist's varnish to get rid of the "dullness" of the clay.

-Ears: fabric sculpted with wire; the fabric is painted with acrylic paint, and has a coat of artist's varnish to secure the paint, and make the sculpting more "solid". When I sculpted the skull helm, I made sure to put holes on the ears, for the wire ears to glue into. I then put more clay around the wire and the holes, then secured them with coats of Mod Podge and artist's varnish.

-Tail: wire hanger sculpted with fabric. PAIN IN THE @ss. I took 3 pieces of wire hanger, glued fabric around them, punctured 2 more holes in the hind-end of the pony, and put cotton stuffing in the tail to give it shape. I then painted it with acrylic paint, and gave it a coat of artist's varnish.

Hair: I dyed fake fur (tried dying white fur red, and brown fur black...but the brown fur stayed the same color, and the white wouldn't go darker than pink...but I did what I could with what I had. ;~)

"Tounges": rubber bands sculpted with wire. Yes. I said rubber bands.
I glued the wire to the pony (around the leg and kneck) then glued rubber bands over the wire, put clay inbetween the rubber bands for the "teeth", then painted all of it with acrylic paint, then slapped a coat of artist's varnish on all of it, and used Mod Podge on the weaker areas to secure them and make them less-likely to fall apart. ;~)
