Description

Fierce Deity Link custom pony figure from Nintendo 64 video game The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
---FOR SALE: $250.00---

(Shadow Link pictured is sold but included in photo just for size comparison….and fandom relevancy)

Pony base is a generation 4 Talking Princess Celestia, probably one of the tallest, biggest figures in the generation 4 line of toys. With a hard plastic figure like this I would normally like to dissect it with a screw driver, but…. If there are any screw holes on this figure, they were covered with more hard plastic.

Cutting the neck apart was rather dangerous, so I did it very slowly and carefully and severed it only enough for me to be able to pull out the original hair plugs, insert more in then stuff Tacky glue inside the scalp after the re-hair process.

I removed the batteries and kept them, and ripped off the wings and tried to clip away wire parts the best I could, with wire cutters and pliers.

Coated entire figure in Gesso, to give the acrylic paint a base to bond to. Full body repaint in pthalo blue acrylics, head is a different color of antique white. Original ears are still on the head but under the hat, and I made the Hylian elf ears out of leather, painted it in antique white and sealed it in Artists Varnish.

I also painted his eyes and face paint in acrylics. Eyes have matte, metallic pearl, silver glitter and glow in the dark paint pigments on it. I also added glow in the dark over the face make up markings.

Cut off original Celestia horn, and made a blade horn like I sculpted on one of the first Fierce Deity Link customs I did back in 2007. I took faux silver vinyl and painted it in various depths of grays, blues, greens and metallic acrylics then sandwiched it between 2 layers of transparent plastic I cut from My Little Pony packaging.

Made a horn base from a strip of gray leather, and beige hemp cord.

Mane and tail are rooted in about 90% of DollPlanet hair. I used one pigment of Dollyhair, pale pink nylon mlp hair in the color Oyster.

DollPlanet colors are nylon White Fang, and a custom blend of Silver Lining and Soylent Green nylon hair.

Hair styled in my hair gel method.

Took a solid day for the hair style to dry, and for me to keep applying layers to style it but it’s worth the effort. It usually takes me extra time to style hair but the patience pays off.

For the outfit, I started with the boots. Both boots and gauntlets are crafted from top quality authentic oil tanned boot leather.

The main boot color and the over flaps at the tops are cut and stitched from the oil tan boot leather. Punched holes with leather hole puncher in order to stitch. Soles are also a nice gray oil tanned boot leather. Gray ribbon trim line the soles, then wide brown bias tape. A strip of brown leather used for the buckles, I punched holes in the strip and made the gold buckles from thick gold wire and shaped it onto the leather strips.

Punched holes in the charcoal black and deep navy blue oil tanned boot leather for the gauntlets and stitched the pieces together then stitched stripes of dyed red leather to finish gauntlets.

For tunic, I started with a under layer of pleated cobweb material for both the skirt and sleeves. Ended up with very flowy robe-like results. Stitched inverted faux brown leather for the neck piece, black-underside-showing.

I then individually cut armor pieces from faux silver vinyl, but acrylic detail down for some lines, and stitched it all together. A deep navy blue belt from the oil tanned leather is included among the faux vinyl armor, and some silver metal strips on the sides. Added black hemp cord detail over the darker line details, painted triangle and crescent moon rhinestones in yellow and metallic gold acrylics and cut thin strips of red dyed leather for the chest piece details and made a tiny silver buckle for the one side.

Sapphire rhinestone jewels glued on silver and gold metallic rhinestones attached to the front broach, to finish.

Hat hand-stitched from same cobweb material and permanently attached to head.
