Description

Commissioned request by :iconrainfyre66:

Request was to be of the generation 1 pony called Bright Eyes, redone in a generation 3 pose in the Victorian Steampunk style.

When engineering the base, I tacked 3 generation 4 Princess Celestia wings to the side, and showed the work in progress pic to the customer to get her permission to take a Earth pony design and turn it in to a tri-winged pegasus... I knew that was a high risk, yet for the sake of steampunk...

Full body repaint in medium light blue acrylics. Eyes painted and layered in acrylics in a realism style.

For the design of the eyes, I decided to include clock hands in the lashes. The red markings are the marks on a clock face, between the numbers and I included the numbers 3, 6 and 9.
Would have had to put the 12's in the bangs so I left those out. XD
Wings are painted in metallic acrylics.

Mane and tail are re-rooted in Hasbro pony hair.

For the outfit and detailing, I glittered some cog wheels and just sprinkled them right on to the pony. No glue, no clay... just magically sprinkled them on with my magical hax skillz!

Really! I do that!

Symbol is red leather with the middle painted in a custom blend of white acrylics. I custom-blend my white to keep a smooth flawless consistency of the paint.
Numbers on the clock is a actual clock face from a watch I took apart.

Boots are authentic beige leather I hand-sewed and detailed in a pale blue bias tape and white ribbon.

Gloves on front legs are the same beige leather, with gray lace, cog wheels and rope sewn to them.

Rest of the sleeves are a cream bias tape with white leather strips, and elastic cording all sewn to a seafoam green lace, which is sewn to a strip of cream bias tape that goes around the back of the neck with yellow chain sewn to it. Black detailing is black hemp cording.

Skirt is the same beige leather, with a layer of webbed lace sewn, then a layer of wide white lace ribbon (also repeated across the front chest of the pony) topped with two strips of white leather "X"'d over the skirt. Detailed in metal hoops, and various cogs/pieces sewn on.

Hair is antique grayish pearls pinned in, with black/gold wire detailed.

Goggles are beads wired through long silver beads, pinned in to the back of the head. Goggles can rest on top of the head, or be lowered over the eyes.

Carved the original eyes of the pony out, and in-setted some mystic fire faux jewel stones in place.

Wings detailed in various rhinestones.
