ffvi SHS Terra

The SHS portion of the title, is referring to the type of doll base used for Terra; it's called the "Sweet Heart Sister". It is from the 1980's line of Hasbro ponies, and to me, is the most simplistic, yet elegant of all the poses. (A massive personal-fav!)

The beauty of the original pony base I used for this, is it was just perfect for Terra. If I was lazy or uninspired, I could have easily gotten away with not even painting her face, at all. She had lavender eyes originally, and aqua eye-shadow... but... it still wasn't the expression I was looking for. So I entirely re-painted both eyes, since I never actually leave the original eyes on a custom.

Her scalp is re-rooted in a blend of mermaid and envy Hasbro pony hair. Bangs curled with a curling iron.
Her outfit is entirely hand-sewn, and I've recently discovered the wonderful world of bias tape. Gives off more of a clean, professional look to borders.
The purple shoulder armor is sculpted, and anchored through the skin of the pony with heavy-duty wire, hand-painted in metallic purple acrylics, and detailed in hand-painted hemp, and metallic craft dots.
Every single last bead on this custom is purely antique from the 1920's.
