Kagura commission

Oh look, I just happened to find natural daylight in my apartment....

Kagura (from Inuyasha) commission for Jean over at the mlpArena.

I'm so glad I got the opportunity to make this character into a custom. Kagura is one of my favorite characters from animes, she was loads of fun.

I engineered a pose for this one; I wanted the pose to be dynamic, yet alluring. Went with the body of a walking pose, and the head of a diva pose.


She has a full-body repaint in 6 layers of a hand-blend of various flesh tones, tans, yellows, and creams. Her eyes are done in my eye enlargement method, in reds, purples, grays, browns and black and a neon red to give them a glow.
She's re-haired in black magick, hematite, and chocolate fudge Hasbro pony hair.
For her clothes, her outfit is entirely hand-sewn. I started with an under-layer of navy blue fabric and did the white detailing in acrylics, applied with a toothpick.
Her robe is detailed in pink ribbon that was hand-stained with neon purple acrylics. The beige ribbons were hand-assembled and attached.
Earrings are antique seafoam-colored beads fastened with wire through holes I made in the ears for the earrings.
Hair accessory is a plastic tear-drop green gem with gray fishing feathers.
