Inuyasha and Sesshy W.I.P. by LightningSilver-Mana Inuyasha and Sesshy W.I.P. by LightningSilver-Mana
Lord Sesshomaru and Inuyasha custom My Little Ponies in partial re-hair and paint form.

This is after their bodies are fully-painted, and after I've spent a few hours getting their eyes just the way I want them....

Lord Sesshomaru's front left leg is gone, because in the anime, his left arm was cut off by Inuyasha.
His ears have been cut off, because that's a necessary step for sculpting his sexy pointed ears. :D

Maybe you should close up the cut-off-arm on Sesshomaru instead of leaving it as a gaping hole. 0_o

Well, to put it shortly here's my re-hair tutorial: [link]

For most of my customs, I add a lot more hair plugs to the scalp for "fuller" hair do's!

I use Hasbro My Little Ponies, yes. The ones in this photo were the ones that were out in stores from 2001-2008 or something like that... I still find them at second-hand stores, thrift stores, but mainly Goodwill. You can also find great big stocks of them for sale on eBay as well.

I usually do painting first unless I have to do some facial sculpting. The paint gets seals, then I do the re-hair process!

Sculpting can be tricky; I have to put the paint down where the hair goes, seal it, do the hair, do the sculpting, then do the rest of the painting for the head while carefully clipping the hair back; otherwise I risk damaging the sculpt work if I re-hair after sculpting. >.<

I actually have quite a few stray severed legs, come to think of it. >.>

I mainly use them to keep ponies heads on during their work in progress modes... I'm able to take their severed legs, fit them into their neck holes, and prop their heads onto the other end of the leg. :D 'tis quite.....satisfying. :fuzzydemon:

Sorry you have to deal with crap like this Mana-Maiden. It's really annoying when people have nothing better to do than flame others just because they're jealous... or just plain bored with life and need to talk shit to feel superior. I think your work is just amazing. Seeing your new ponies always makes me smile. You spend a lot of time on these and it always shows. Can't wait until this one is finished! Sesshomaru is probably my all time fav anime character! XD Keep working hard and doing what you love. Your fans are always here to back you up! *huggles* ^^

Thank you so much.... this cyber-bullying nonsense really does stress me out. Physically, and mentally. This particular group of people have been doing this for almost 2 years now.... and it all started because I offered to customize a baity g1
"rare male" pony on a pony forum... and a bunch of people decided to tell me what to do with my craft. I was shocked and appaulled at their conduct, and told them to stop telling me what to do with my craft. It's been on-going ever since...

They tried telling me to stfu and accept "light criticism", but legally, their "light criticism" is called "cyber bullying".

The only criticism I'll ever accept, is genuine well-rounded criticism that points out my strengths, then addresses where I need improvement.
I'm sure that if morningstar had that same exact comment on her page, she'd go into a ignorant rage spiral and block the person. She wouldn't "accept" the criticism, nor would she be pleasant about it. So she shouldn't go doing the same to others, if she can't handle her own medicine.

But what disheartens me most about this whole situation... is this Inuyasha custom is a Birthday gift for a family member. ~Laiminar's cousin was watching me make Christmas gift customs for friends and family this last December, and she displayed genuine interest in my craft. So I asked her what her favorite anime character is... and she told me it was Inuyasha. So I've been planning this custom, ever since. He has to be done by the end of this month, because that's when her Birthday is.. and I want to get him done in time.

It's people like Morningstar that caused me to dislike Inuyasha fandom, years ago. Back in 2004-2006, I watched the entire series on Adult Swim. I bought figurines, and magazines... but after the series ended, (and left me feeling as though I was witnessing a permanent cliff-hanger...) my fandom kind of died. I came across other Inuyasha fans with similar dispositions to Morningstar's.... and I haven't looked back at that fandom since.

Morningstar has simply reminded me of my disdain for this particular fandom. I don't want to be affiliated with people who display such a range of ignorance, and tactless insincere behavior, just because I accidentally joined a Inuyasha fanclub that she just happened to already by a member of.
That's why she did this... my customs appearing in her inbox made her furious, so she stooped so low as to attack them.

This isn't the first time this has happened... I was commissioned to make a different fanart character a couple years ago, and this same thing pretty much happened. They act as though I'm not allowed to make fan art customs of their favorite anime characters, but I'm not going to stop commissions or gifts just because they feel like they have to shit all over them.

I've never done this to anyone before, and I know I never have to. I've never planned on going any of their personal dA pages or doing anything... so I don't know what makes them think it's okay to do this to mine. If I can't prove who the troll is, then I'll ignore it. But if I can expose the person for who they are, they can expect me to do that.

That's so terrible! You'd think- all of us being artists of some kind- that people would at least be civil to each other. Show each other respect, give criticism in an effort to help someone improve their work, or just appreciate something nice and unique that someone created. That having the same type of hobby would give us a connection to each other and bind us together. There's a very obvious difference when someone's giving criticism to help and when someone is saying things to try and bring someone down. I don't always leave comments for everything that I look at, but that first comment by MorningStar seemed so cruel I had to say something. It's like kicking someone for no reason. I didn't realize these people have been bothering you for so long. I can't imagine doing what they're doing to you to someone else, let alone stalk someone for a year or more. It's really pathetic and understandably frustrating. I do hope you expose this person for the miserable wretch that she is and bring her down a notch. If not I'd ignore her completely. It may make her frustrated and angry, but after a while, she's bound to get bored if you ignore her all the time (hopefully lol).

That's so nice that you make customs as gifts for loved ones. I draw things to give as gifts to my friends too. It's just something that shows you care enough to take all that time and effort and love that you're putting into it to making something that's one of a kind. (I'm actually in the middle of a picture for my friend whose birthday is in 6 days from now.. but I'm stumped half way through and taking a break lol) Don't get too disheartened. It always feels great making something for someone, and just imagine the look on her face when she sees her own custom Inuyasha pony! It'll be worth every second ^^ (I'm jealous already lol although I'd want a Sesshy pony *cuddles*)

I watched the whole Inuyasha series on Adult Swim too. I was also disappointed with that terrible cliff hanger. I was sure I'd have to wait forever until the manga was finished and then buy them to read it (although I was never really interested in the Inuyasha manga). I was so happy when I heard about Inuyasha: The Final Act. I'm sure Adult Swim will play it whenever gets dubbed. But if you can't wait like me www.hulu.com has all the new episodes that have aired in Japan so you can watch them for free. The series is good, but at times feels a little rushed (probably because I'm used to battles being a couple episodes long). But you should check it out if you haven't already. Watching it makes me feel young again lol

Anyways, I've been a huge anime fan for pretty much ever lol I assure you we aren't all the horrible, ignorant people like the ones harassing you. You enjoy what you enjoy. Don't let anyone take that from you.

Keep up the beautiful work! Can't wait to see more!

I've tried getting along with some of these people in the past when I notice we have a common fandom interest... (leave nice compliments on their work) but they always turn around and bite me in the future. After all of this, I'm not going to bother, ever again. If I see anyone that's grimly affiliated with any of those assholes, I'm going to pretend like I never came across them.

I'm basically going to ignore all other actions by these people, from here on out. I reacted just this once, just because I had evidence proving as to why I though the way I did... but after this, even if I know for a fact morningstar is trying to pull more crap, I'm going to ignore it.
I just want them to know that they're not fooling anyone here.

Yeah, I'm making Sesshomaru because I want to do a more accurately detailed version from the one I made back in 2005. :) I just want to see him look better... but I'm putting him up for sale for $90.00 once he's finished. Inuyasha's going as a gift, and Sesshy's going on the market... XD That way they can be separated and won't try and battle each other in the same household! XD

And wow! I didn't know about the "Final Act" series... that just might bring me back into the loop of the fandom. :D I thought I was once told that Adult Swim would never finish the Inuyasha series, because the original story was so inappropriate for public media viewing, that is had to stay only in the manga... >___< I hope that's not the case. ^^;

Definitely book-marking hulu.com!

Oh really I hadn't heard that. I just assumed it was because the manga was still going and that was unfinished so they kind of just stopped the series because Inuyasha the manga hadn't ended yet. But the manga ended I believe January 2009? I think. Inuyasha The Final Act is still going in Japan but I think it's like 27 episodes-ish so it might be almost finished. It picks up where the anime ended and continues from there. But it's supposed to follow the manga so it won't have filler episodes or make battles longer than they are in the manga. I guess that's why things feel like they're moving quickly. I've only seen a few episodes so far. But it is good. The whole Japanese cast returned. I'm hoping the whole English cast does as well because I did love the English voice actors. Viz bought the rights to it, so I'm sure Adult Swim will air it eventually. But why wait? lol Either way we definitely get an ending this time. =)

Yeah, the thing I remember about the t.v. episodes is they were only 20 minutes long. >____< That's most likely another reason it seemed like it took longer... XD It always seemed like barely anything happened, then all of a sudden, ending credits!

But yeah, what I heard was most likely hear-say... not exactly sure what they'll end up doing. >.>

That is true... I haven't gone to ANY of their pages and started anything, and never intended to. Never have, never will. If they don't want people making dA journals complaining about their conduct, then they shouldn't slander them on a cyber-bully forum and attack/stalk their entire online activity.

The friend I told you about that I stuck up for, was attacked by these people on every forum she was a member of, because these people GOOGLED her and found her entire online activity.

And you know why they do this? Because they disagree with harmless personal opinions people post a pony forum, that aren't even directed at anyone. I could understand the purpose of their conduct, if someone decided to randomly attack a person at random (a lot like they do to everyone!) but they don't. They just constantly troll pony forums, and deviantArt for that matter, looking for tactless entertainment.

See? And all that, right there, explains one of many reasons why you're the better person. That kind of stalking behaviour is plain pathetic - if you don't like somebody, you don't have to talk to them, or go to such lengths to tear them down completely, as much as you might feel tempted to.
Lol, I know what you mean about attacking at random - sometimes people feel the need to come up to me and start picking, but once they realise there's no right or wrong way to insult me, well ... they shut up. XD But there are a lot more gentler people out there than me, and I dread to think what these harsh words would do to them, y'know? It's just wrong.

Oh yeah, I've been meaning to tell you-
she did try accusing you of "attacking her dA about the loss of her child". Go check that link to the journal I noted you; scroll down to the bottom of that journal. I demanded her to prove that a "troll attacked her dA", so she told me to go die in a fire and linked me to your dA.

The beauty of it all, is she accused it of happening "through notes". So there would be no way of actually proving it, when someone would call her on her bullshit...

Besides, both you and I know that I didn't even link you to that journal until after she accused me of sending a troll to attack her dA. And even so, you knew nothing of the unprovoked argument she tried starting with me, and wouldn't have just all of sudden sent her a note attacking her about her loss.

Anyways, thought you should know that. ;)

That actually made me chortle, because not too long ago when she flamed me about my art saying how much my customs suck (surprise, surprise) one of her vag buddies jumped in and accused me of being talentless because "I only sell fanart" and accused me of never selling an original character.... never mind I get commissioned to do improvised "themed" customs, and to use my skill to create animal customs.... and my recent original designs sold like hot cakes. XD (The sparkle customs...) I got like 5 inquiries on those.

But defending my art is pointless... there's really no one to convince.

After all, I'm not the one that only gets commissions from my irl friends. XDXDXD (I actually feel bad accepting money from irl friends... I end up gifting them customs instead.) ;)

They way I see her art, is woo hoo! Another person who knows how to trace out of How to Draw Manga books!

And Laiminar is right about her perspective. XD Everything in her gallery is static, flat, and unimaginative... and in a few of her deviations, characters' heads are turned COMPLETELY AROUND as you can still see their entire back side. I'm sorry, but human necks don't have THAT many vertebrae.

And on a few of her deviations, she states "i know I did this wrong please don't critique!"
Okay, so she knows she sucks, and never plans on improving and producing the same static crap for years on end. Lovely. She'll just get flamed for it when she tries bashing other people then.
